A Bit About Me

My journey in the machining industry began in 2001, when I started training as a machinist toolmaker alongside my father, Brian Thompson, at Heat Treatments Ltd. Over the course of 14 years there, I gained extensive hands-on experience and developed a deep understanding of machining techniques and best practices.

Throughout my 20+ years in the industry, I’ve built a reputation for quality and professionalism, most recently through my work with ACE CNC. I also spent three years as a Sales Engineer with Sandvik Coromant, where I gained valuable insight into tooling solutions—knowledge that continues to enhance my machining processes, improve productivity, and ensure consistently high-quality results.

In 2021, my wife Joyce and I founded MachTech Engineering. Together, we take pride in working with both new and returning clients, and we’re committed to delivering outstanding service and precision-crafted parts with every project.
